About PeptideMap
What is PeptideMap?
PeptideMap is an evidence-based resource that aggregates peptide research from two complementary sources:
- 1. Peer-reviewed research - Clinical trials, preclinical studies, and review articles from PubMed/PMC
- 2. Community experiences - Real-world reports from online peptide communities
We believe the most useful peptide resource combines rigorous scientific data with practical user experiences.
Our Data
Methodology
What We Show
- • Research counts and key studies with study type labels (clinical trial, review, preclinical)
- • Community-reported outcomes, side effects, dosing patterns, stacks, and switching trends
- • Price ranges from research-grade vendors (US and China) with clear caveats
What We Don’t Show
- • Vendor names, links, or purchasing guidance
- • Medical advice or prescriptive dosing instructions
- • Identifying details from community posts
Confidence & Sample Size
Community data is aggregated from many posts and authors. We display exact counts where available, and label data as community-reported to distinguish it from clinical evidence.
Outcome Grades (A-D)
Outcomes are graded based on how frequently they're mentioned positively in community discussions:
- A Very commonly reported, consistent positive mentions
- B Frequently reported with generally positive outcomes
- C Moderately reported, mixed or variable results
- D Rarely reported or inconsistent results
Side Effect Frequency
Side effect percentages reflect how often each was mentioned among users who reported any side effects. This is community-reported data, not clinical trial data.
Risk Severity
- Serious - Potentially dangerous, requires immediate medical attention
- Warning - Important safety consideration, may require monitoring
- Caution - Should be aware of, usually manageable
- Common - Frequently reported, generally mild and expected
Pricing Data
Pricing is based on community-reported vendor prices at the time of data collection. Prices vary significantly by vendor, quantity, and time. Use as a rough reference only.
Research Indexing
We index research articles from PubMed/PMC and categorize them by study type. Key studies are selected to give a practical overview, not an exhaustive literature review.
Limitations
- • Community data reflects self-selected, often experienced users - not representative of general population
- • Self-reported outcomes are subject to placebo effects, recall bias, and selection bias
- • Dosing and source quality in community reports is highly variable
- • Research article selection is not exhaustive - we focus on key studies
- • Data may become outdated as new research emerges
